Second Square is run by Square One to help people coming home from incarceration plan their next steps with a caseworker. This page explains what we collect, who sees it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, phone number, email, and password (stored encrypted).
- Intake answers: release and supervision status, housing, work, health and support needs.
- Your plan: goals, tasks, progress notes, appointments, and referrals.
- Documents and photos you upload, and messages you send in the app.
Who can see it
Your assigned caseworker and authorized staff at your organization can see your record so they can help you. We don't sell your information. We don't share it with employers, landlords, or other providers unless you ask us to make a referral, and then only what that referral needs.
Services we use
- Text messages are sent through an SMS provider to deliver codes, invites and reminders.
- Emails are sent through an email delivery provider.
- Address suggestions use an OpenStreetMap-based search service. Only the text you type is sent.
- Interview practice questions may be generated by Google Gemini. Only the job title and job listing details are sent, never your name or record.
Your choices
- You can update your profile and notification settings at any time in Settings.
- You can ask your caseworker for a copy of your information or to correct it.
- You can ask us to close your account. Some records may be kept where the law requires it.
Security
Sessions time out after 8 hours. Staff only see the clients they are allowed to see, and important actions are logged.
